The Fun Run donations will support school initiatives such as a Maker Space, STEM Nights, Innovative Grade Level Projects as well as PTO annual activities to include Fine Arts Fair, Music Programs, PE Programs, Family Events & more.
WHAT PERCENTAGE DO WE ACTUALLY KEEP?
100%!! All donations are split equally with Lovettsville Elementary School and Lovettsville PTO. There are no credit card fees when using Lovettsville Elementary School’s online payment portal. Expenses for the Fun Run are covered by the amazing corporate sponsors the PTO worked very hard over the summer to secure. Please thank our sponsors for us when you see them around town!
DO ALL THE STUDENTS PARTICIPATE IN THE FUN RUN?
Yes! All students are invited to participate in the Fun Run on October 10. A smaller loop will be created inside our current track for all the kids to enjoy.
ARE PLEDGES MADE PER LAP?
Pledges are based on a flat donation rather than per lap.
WILL INCENTIVES BE AWARDED?
Incentives are provided for the whole school as we reach various levels of our overall goal. We have a school wide goal of $25,000. Individual classrooms will come up with their classroom incentives.

A makerspace is a room that contains tools and components, allowing people to enter with an idea and leave with a complete project. The best part is that makerspaces are communal. The goal is to work together to learn, collaborate, and share. CAN PLEDGES AND DONATIONS BE COLLECTED ONLINE?
Absolutely! Please go to LovettsvillePTO.org/Pledge for the online pledge form and payment options. Pledges may be paid any time before October 18 via credit card online or send a copy of your confirmation email with check/cash to your student’s teacher.

WHAT ABOUT STUDENTS WHO DON’T
HAVE INTERNET ACCESS?
Not a problem! Everyone can participate. Paper pledge forms were sent home with each student and available upon request. Please send them in to your teacher by October 9.
HOW ELSE CAN WE HELP MAKE THIS SUCCESSFUL?
On race day we will need donations and volunteers to help make this event super fun for the kids from marking the laps on their shirts to donating water and supplies.
